Imagine a tomorrow as if it were pictured from yesterday. Tucked away in the corner of European Harbor between Paris and Amsterdam is this amazing world where those in the past imagined the future. Come to a world of steampunx, Jules Verne, and old ideas of what the future could be like.
Coming in from Amsterdam, you come walking around towards the inner bay, where the Nautilus, Captain Nemo's famous ship, is docked. On the left is Discovery Bites and the Retrofuturistic Store. In the bay area, you can go on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, a modified version of the Tokyo Disneysea ride. The Nautilus Kitchen serves as a sit-down restaurant nearby, where you dine in Captain Nemo's organ room and see drawings of Jules Verne Adventures all around.
On the other side of the bay is Cafe Hyperion, a restaurant. Also in that bay is where you can ride From the Earth to the Moon, which is showcased inside a replica of Disneyland Paris's Space Mountain, but despite its name, the ride has more similarities to its successor, Space Mountain Mission 2. It exits into Galaxy Stuff, where you can buy merchandise themed to the ride.
Around the World in 80 Days is a tram ride in the area that goes in the water, on tracks, and in the air, making it feel like you're going along with Phileas Fogg on his adventure around the world from the novel. Meanwhile, Orbitron spins people around on a faster-paced Astro Orbiter ride. Steampunx Supplies offers Steampunx-themed souvenirs and another roller coaster, Steamorail, offers a flight through the Steampunx world, encountering some air pirates in the process. H.G. Wells Tavern gives you a dining experience themed to the works of the famous author.

Like the previous two areas, I threw this one in. Discoveryland is Disneyland Paris' Tomorrowland, but instead of being focused on today's tomorrow, it's focused on yesterday's tomorrow. This is basically the same idea, except with different things. I just found a fascination with old ideas of the future. By the way, the Around the World in 80 Days attraction is inspired by the book, not any of the films based on the book.
I think the Around the World in 80 Days attraction is genius! That would be somewhat exhilarating! I’d love to see this made. I like how you based it on yesterday’s tomorrow instead of today’s tomorrow. Such a unique perspective!
ReplyDeleteBreaking news! Steampunx Store and Steamorail won't be featured in the park. Instead, Aquatopia will take the place of the Steamorail, being a similar version to the Tokyo Disneysea attraction. Meanwhile, Steampunx Store would be renamed Hangar Bay Cargo, which features merchandise themed to nearby attractions.
